Chained
Must. Get. Published.
I have concluded that my soul was not made for the conventions of employment. Modernity/normalcy is like a disease for which rejection of the status quo is the only cure. Caged, rabid, like a wild bird in isolation pecking at her own feathers.
My consolation and my fire are the same prize - the idea that I may, one day, escape the spiral that so easily entangles tha majority of young women my age. Graduate, get a job, buy things, get a better job to buy more things, find a boyfriend, get married, buy things together, have him get an EVEN better job to pay for the kids/things we got together, take one vacation a year, and die.
Feelin' really feisty right now. Ready to finish my novel...or quit my job. But the former has to come first. Here we gooooooo!
