Mischief Managed: Harry Potter 7.2

For the first time in my life, I attended the midnight premiere of a Harry Potter movie. The first...and the last.

It was only by the skin of my nose, granted. I finished all the HP books back in March and we finished Deathly Hallows 7.1 literally an hour and a half before we were due at the Regal.

Going into the dark of the theatre, I committed myself to not quibbling over minor details. I wept through the greater portion of the film.

By the end - speechless.

I raised my wand for Severus, Dobby, Fred, Remus, Tonks...

God, I'm in my office and I still can't stop crying.

It's over. It's all over. My heart goes out to those of you who spent the last 10 years of your life at Hogwart's. I had barely boarded the Hogwart's Express. But even that is hard, too. Meeting a world so beautiful, only to have it end so quickly.

Thank you, J.K. Thank you, Zoe. Thank you, Harry, Hermione, and Ron. Thank you, David Yates.

Thank you, Dumbledore.

I opened at the close.
